I wear hi-tops to protect and support my ankles. I tape my wrists on occasion. Aside from that, I don't really wear any safety gear (not that I'm against it).
Do you wrap up?

sorry. as official arsehole of these forums, its my job to flame all newbies.
actually i hate that, people who skate wood parks are hella pussy on street, like at wood parks if you fall the worst your gonna get are maybe some friction burns, but on crete ya gonna scrape to the bone. im so happy that i grew up on crete not like pussy wood.

on the whole pads are pretty pointless. helmets are great on vert, but it is very very difficult to land on your head street skating. unless of course your doing big ass rails, but if your doing big rails you would know how to fall properly. knee pads are useful on vert cause you can slide out of tricks. but on street all it does is protect you from knee cuts. big deal, take the cut knee like a man. same goes for elbow pads. wrist guards can be useful but if you know how to fall your not gonna land on your wrists. so the point of this post, don't worry about pads learn to fall properly.

I don't wear pads at all on the street...then again I only do something like a maximum 4 stair and stuff, I suck. However when it gets hot again I'm thinking of wearing a right elbow pad because it appears to be internally damaged and I can't fix it...yeah...
But I ALWAYS wear pads on the bowl and stuff like that. Then again I still don't know how to drop in. Yeah.

The only time I've ever put on my helmet was at a Vans park... I also wore elbows and knees.
I have wrist guards but I only wear them if I've hurt my wrist, which isn't so often.
When I was in California flying down hills, I wore my ankle brace and fingerless leather gloves

i have a helmet for the sole purpose of going to skater island. and i dont even strap it, so one time i was skatin the deep peanut bowl, and i leaned back and did a backflip and my helmet went flying. i didnt get hurt, but it was funny. nowadays at skater island, i just bring the helmet to get in, then take it off when i get in, because i realize that i suck when i wear a helmet.

But what feels good about pads is wearing them for a long time and adapting to it still being able to do your flip tricks and stuff like that, and then taking them off. The results are those that make me happy

Pads are kinda ironic in the end for me though. They are there to protect you, but they limit my flexibility so much they usually end up causing me to bust my ass harder than usual.
