i'm not fond of pads... they can affect you psychologically too, the fact you have pads can re-enforce the fact that you are oging to fall, so in turn you become more cautious and over caution (in me at least) often leads to more accidents plus the restriction of movement is lame, ad they never protect the areas that end up being hurt (ankles, face, back etc) i got a board in my face the other day...it hurt

yep, i've gotten worse injuries sleeping on my arm wrong then falling on a skateboard. the only useful pad i can think of would be a cup but that would do more harm then good cause when you fell down on something, say a pole, it would pinch...hard.

the only time i've really worn pads is wheni decied to drop in on the vert ramp at playstaion skatepark (enforced pads on the vert ramp only) and i couldn't be bothered to take them off wheni was pissing about on the street course

I've worn a helmet a couple times when I was at an enforced skatepark. It's ok. but tis really sweaty and hot, annoying too. I think I might have worn one wristguard once, cuz my wrist had been sprained 5 times throughout the winter.
