I learned these one fine summer afternoon after I had spent about three hours at the skate park and was on the verge of heat stroke. Because I didn't feel too much like jumping and the BMXers and fruit booters stole the ramps(no hard feelings entailed in my statement), I had this small area of the park and, as per a few videos I've seen, popped the board into the air to flip around and tried to jump on it as it landed. After about an hour of trying I managed to get it and had, in the process, gotten my wind back and went about practicing my funny-looking backside smiths. Since then I find this to be a fun way to mess around and if I do it right(which I rarely do), I can pop the board into a wall/fence and jump onto it as it ricochets back to me. Granted this isn't spectacular for my board but I digress all the same.
The point of my post is, in fact, a question: is there a name for this kind of trick? It's not exactly no-comply because both feet completely leave the board and it's not really pressure of any kind because my back foot stays on the tail. I can't really plan how the board will flip in the air, either, only that I can land on it with proper timing. On a good day, I can even roll on without losing a whole lot of momentum. But as I only try these when I'm tired, good days only come every once in a long while.

those are the sorts of tricks which probably have millions of localised names. i don't know the name or if it actually has a name. call it what you will.

but how owuld you tell the difference?
'yeah, i did a bs 360 fun!" "A BC fun, or an Oregon fun?" "No, its the new Brooklyn Banks fun that was in Big Brother' "issue 10.5 or 10.4" "there was two? guess i have to learn them both, huh"
etc. itd be confusing. naming them is easier, then everyone jsut kinda decides on a name.

yeah, but unless you were an absolute loser, you wouldnt be telling someone about it. you tell someone about a nollie nosegrind big spin out, it was fun but you want some props and so the other person can kinda get what level you are in skating and etc etc. but this trick is purely fun, its the kind you do on the way to spot or as you're riding through a shop. you just dont speak of it
