backside tailslides...can anyone explain how to lock in and slide? they just feel awkward. same goes for crooks. but i think i got bs crooks sussed out, i can lock into the suckers now. so i'd prefer info on how to bs tailslide. im babbling...im bored.

for bs tails i find it easier to go pretty much paralell to the ledge and also very close. ollie up high enough and then turn the board onto the ledge slightly late. so i do em very similar to how i would do a late bs 180.
if that doesn't work you can come at a reasonable angle with a fair bit of speed and start a bs 180 while aiming to keep your weight towards the tail. with a little luck your momentum will carry you onto the ledge and you'll land on the tail.
as for sliding the best way to ensure a slide is to aim to go to fakie its just a hell of a lot easier to slide. and even if you don't slide, if you do it really quickly it'll give the impression of sliding. though thats cheating a little.

i find alot of bs slides are easier for me when i go closer, but i haven't gotten bs tails yet either, so i'll get back to you when i do.

the problem i had with these was slipping out. and landing regular, leaning and coming out fakie or shuvit out is easy, landing regular gives me problems still.
