Well, since my Zero board broke 2 weeks ago (only lasted a mere month, no more Zero for me) I have lost a lot of tricks. The ones that irritate me the most are the 180 flips. I can't bring my backside flips around a full 180, I can't flip fs flips or can't bring them around, and bs and fs 180 heelflips are totally screwed. Anybody got some good trick tips?

the best help for both tricks is this...start with your shoulders already facing the way you want to spin. a lot of people will tell you to wind up but i think thats a pile of crap, especially with flip tricks.
so with your shoulders already turned just go to do a normal kickflip or whatever and shazam, you will have probably spun at least half way of the trick and landed on it. the next part is just a matter of practice, you gotta catch the board and you get the rest of the spin from how you put your legs down.
bs flip catch with the toes of your back foot near the edge of the board where it meets the tail and the toes of your front foot on the opposite edge where it meets the nose so you have something to push against...then just twist your legs the rest of the way as you come down. to begin with you'll land all twisted but as you practice your body will just follow your legs and itll look really good. for fs flips just do the opposite.
same technique goes for most 180 flip tricks.

O so that board finally broke. You'd better not buy Zero because they didn't flip well, for you, and it broke. But you're the first I've seen who did bad with a zero board.
Anyways I can do a few of those, Forelander is right, start with your shoulder already facing. Then you'll probaby have to sweep your front foot into a flicking motion REALLY fast but still with enough strenght. If not, some weird stuf happens and you can land all sorts of way (or not land at all).

Thanks for the tips. I'll try them when I get a street deck pressed ;D. It'll even be the first Rabid Badger street deck. I don't know what the deal was with the Zeros. Back in the day when I first started out there was nothing in the world better than a Zero. Now it seems their quality has gone to crap.

considering your doing tricks i cant do and im hooked up on some free stuff ( i cant do b/s heels for the life of me, the others are fine) zero cant be all that bad and a month isnt exactly a short time either, like it doesnt sound like you are a shit skater by no means.
i always turn my shoulders first, especially with b/s flips. i was talking to forelander about doing tom penny b/s flips where you kinda kickflip then do the 180, i was doing it and catching it at about 45 degrees, the turning of the shoulders helps a ton. and f/s flips kick ya foot out side ways, but work on making sure it doesnt fold or even worse abckflip, try and get andrew reynolds style.

The few fs flips I have landed have been mixed styles. Most of them are straight out like Reynolds, but a few of them are like mildly folded. They look like they will stay flat the whole way but at the last second it passes behind my front heel at a pretty flat angle. Kinda mixed between both styles. I think they'd look pretty good if I good get them consistant.
