you might also be interested to know that only 2 or so weeks before sandro dias pulled it, georgio zattoni did it as well. but still the reins were held by hawk for about 7 or 8 years not a bad effort at all.

Whats with some of you? Whats wrong with Tony Hawk? He's really good... And same with that Ryan Sheckler kid, but I think thats because hes younger and better than you guys.

tony hawks awesome no denying that and the 900 was his for 7 or 8 years. i guess thats pretty far ahead of the pack. and ryan shecklers really good too, but what a fucking weird looking kid.

i fucking hate that little ryan sheckler kid. he's not that good, he has like 3 tricks that he does over and over and i couldn't give a crap if he's young or not.

Ryan Sheckler is older than me........ and hes good at skating, but i agree with forlander, he only does about 3 diff. tricks... the kick indy, back lip. and kickflip

A couple of issues back in Thrasher, there's a sequence of Sheck doing a b/s flip down a huge gap. The kid won gold at the X-games in street with "like three tricks"?
You hate him because you ain't him.

what i dislike about sheckler is this:
no doubt he is very good at what he does for such an age, but winning the x-games is notorious for flavour of the month judging, how can this kid who is undoubtedly talented but on the whole reletively inexperienced compete on the same level as the likes of Eric Koston and others, who ever at his age were doing amazing things, that weren't just the fashionable tricks of the moment, Sheckler is talented but there is a huge bias towards him because of his age,
he deserves credit, but his stature is being undermined by his own success, he is not competing on a level playing field
judges favour him because he is small, hence he can get away with doing easier tricks in runs, where as there is still expectation on the older skaters to perform, not only a variety of tricks but also with a certain amount of real danger.
he is competing with adults but still being judged as a child.

i guess all that makes perfect sense...however. some of you with negative thoughts about someone not doing tricks, believing they can only do a handful...just because you dont SEE them do some tricks, doesnt mean they actually DONT do other tricks. they have to cut things out for videos and such. i used to think mullen never did noseslides or tailslides, because i had never seen second hand smoke, which i saw, and i was proved wrong. come on people, dont be fools.  |

i was watchin last years slam city jam, and they were interviewing him, and he was like "people are just now starting to realize my talent, and i like it", or something around that. thats just annoying. dont toot your own horn. be modest.

dude, anyone of us could totaly ruin sheck's shit in a game of skate, putting together a video part, in a fight or a skate comp.
now ehs not even making money off being yonug, hes making money off not hitting puberty yet. he still looks 12.
being able to smith, feeble, kickflip indy and kickflip 50-50 doesnt mean you are good. his part from fajsha is forrible. like horrible. and for someone thats been skating for like 10 years, hes even horriblerer, even worse than my english.
