to be considered an acid drop, does it have to be into a bowl/vert? or can I just roll off of something really high, and still call it an acid drop?

I hate the way tricks' names have changed around in recent years. Like how a varial ollie is now a pop-shove.
So far as I know, an acid drop is when you're holding your board in your hand, then take a couple/several walking/running steps, then jump onto/from something, placing your board under your feet midair and making a rolling landing. Like Louie Barletta does off the Mustang in Man Down, or Boulala down that stair set in Sorry.
If I'm incorrect, please tell me the current name of the trick I described.

that's a caveman joog.
As for acid drops i'm not sure...most people around here just call it rolling in, as opposed to dropping in, i always thought just rolling of stuff was an acid drop.

what got me wondering is that duane peters was talking about skating comps, and he said that he just does an acid drop into the bowl, and doesn't have a set lineup of tricks....

A caveman was done down a rail. Like Danny Way did at the end of Shackle Me Not in the living room, or Gonz did into darkslides.
I'm not sure what a joog is, Foreskin, but I know what a caveman is...or was.

a caveman is any trick where you have the board in your hand and jump onto it. doesn't have to be down a rail - you can do caveman crooks or caveman boardies, but you can also do caveman manuals and fingerflips and whatnot. Or you could leap down stairs doing it. Still a caveman, joog.

anyhows an acid drop is like rolling off any shit, like the edge of a bowl or even a curb. a cave man is holding the board in ya leading hand, unless you're super unco, and then jumping onto it. you wanna start quoting tricks from vids? try louie barletta's fakie caveman handflip to fakie manny fakie flip out. plus say if i didnt do it into a rail, what would it be calle dhten?
duane peters is a tool. he does gay tricks. he also acts like hes the shit.

Crass? Are you that dumb, dude? Crass only had oldschool spirit. I, however, was there. I'm 32, having just celebrated my birthday this past Friday. Pardon me for citing tricks from videos to help illustrate my explanations. I thought it would help.
It gets kind of annoying having a couple of snotnoses make like their shit doesn't stink because they can do flip tricks and call people names like "joog" (which if you had any balls at all, you'd have at least told me what it meant).
Tell you what, I'm done. So Foreskin, when you grow a pair of balls you can AIM me and tell me what "joog" means because after I press the post button here, I won't be checking back for replies.

Acid drop is just a fancy way of saying that you fell off of something intentionally... joog.

I'm not saying duane peters is a god or anything, I just figured that he would know what he's talking about -- seeing as how he's been skating for so long.....

Man this kemo guy gets stirred up some, i think he's defensive. He asked what the trick was called now, i told him then he told me i was wrong. i think he needs to get with the times and accept some change. and get over his lack of ability to kickflip apparently.
It doesnt help any that i don't have AIM.
