Don't focus on stepping with your front foot too much. Make it a quick step and hop.
With your back foot, it helps if you drag it up your board like you would with your front foot during an Ollie. This helps level the board out and keeps that foot where it belongs.

well i can pull of most nocomply variations but i just cant do a simple basic nocomply, no matter how much i try

I can do frontside no-complys and even a no-comply impossible. But I can't for the life of me land a regular straightforward no-comply. I used to have a similar problem with bonelesses, in fact.

Ah yes, the straight no-comply... I hate it, almost as much as I hate... almost every trick there is.
Unfortunately I have no advice to give on standard no-complies since I can't do them anymore.
