i'm now a computer science major.
transferring out of this school, which is 30 minutes from 3 beaches..to a school thats in the middle of the state and way too close to home.
why? so i can get a degree in working on computers.
so how's everyone else doing?

actually it's quite easy finding a job in it.
it's finding a job that actually utilizes that degree thats the hard part...

Wow, not even CIS. You're going full-on CS.
I just hope you manage to avoid Java and FPGAs. Those are my two least favorite amongst CS learnery.

I have to learn about FPGA's as well! I fucking hate pld's and anything related to digital logic. At least I don't really have to know about ttl and for that I am thankful.

Ouch dude. I feel for you, I really do. I hated CS(more that I hated my school), so I dropped that major. Speaking as a geek, I can say one thing for sure: if you can survive a full-blown CS regimen and maintain your interest, you're true blue.
For me it was either: stop CS or hate computers.

well i'm doing an electrical engineering degree so i gotta know all this shit. the electrical part is cool...the digital logic part is the only bit i've really hated so far and even it wasn't really hard. plus i got to make a game of pong in c++!
