Time for yet another slew of reviews:
That's Life - Long video, but pretty god damned awesome the whole way through. Where the hell has Daniel Shimizu been all my life. Backside Lipslide to 5-0 up an incline? Jesus. The whole team seriously kicks ass, especially MikeRusczyk with his crazy no-complies. While the soundrtack was pretty good in my opinion, a lot of indie music in there and I can get how some people would get annoyed by it. Regardless, the video stays pretty strong throughout, though I liked the beginning parts a bit more.
Destroy Everything Now - This will satisfy all your gnar needs for years to come. I mean, with Corey Duffel and Kristian Svitak on the team, it really couldn't be any other way. Soundtrack has Dead Boys and Devo, and just remains pretty fitting. A lot of pool stuff in the beginning, which I am a big fan of, though once again, I can see where people differ on it.
Dying to Live - If you get this, get this for John Rattray, Jamie Thomas, and Ryan Smith(not sure why, but I love his style). Outside of them, the video stands up pretty well and has a lot of fast music to it, but it gets old to see nothing but gaps and stairs all the time, you gotta throw in some lines and clever flatground.
City of Killers - Harold Hunter is the ugliest man alive since Shane McGowan. Anyway, this is a tour video, which means a bunch of new spots for you kids who get tired of the same stuff. Parts defined by location rather than skater. Soundtrack didn't stand out too much, but it's Zoo York, they never really seem to put too much effort into that. Zered Basset is definitely someone everyone has to look out for. Some of the shit he pulls is just on the level of video game madness.
Jump off a Building - Ye olde Bam footy in here. Kerry Getz magic. Maldonado craziness. Brian Anderson deserved that last part, especially with choosing Dinosaur Jr. for his song. But most important is this: Elissa Steamer's part doesn't suck. At all. I don't know why she seems worse in everything else, but she definitely shows she's worthy of recognition in this video.
Can't Stop - Interesting video. That's definitely the best way to describe this video. I don't know what else to say. A lot of really impressive tricks like kickflip handflips and a 100-yard 5050. Really wierd 20s-style gangster interludes. I don't really know what to say about the soundtrack. This video definitely will never get any worse or better for me, it has too timeless a quality to it. Prepare for a long watch, though.
Mosaic - Much better than I remember it. I don't know why, I remember seeing it a long time ago and not being impressed. But I decided to give it a second chance, and I'm glad I did. A lot of switch skills in this video, Getz again, Gall with his wallrides, and Dill definitely has a style that's fascinating to watch. But they definitely aren't the only reasons to see this video. Too much goodness to pass up.
What If - I know I was beaten to this, so I'm not going to review it. Mostly because I agree with the review already up.
I think it's pretty impressive how Corey Duffel got the last part in two of these videos. Especially because they came out the same year. And that's cool, we need more awesome goofy skaters.

i was supposed to see the shortys vid last nightalong with the zero vid at their premieres, but due to a several incidences they would only show the zero vid. problem 1 with this dual skate premiere they had planned: fitting 300 skaters into a 200 seat cinema is a dumb idea. this led to two showings of the zero vid so everyone could see it. meaning no time left for shotys vid. problem 2 many of the skaters were drunk, underage and generally trouble makers: this led to someone pulling the fire alarm, which meant an evacuation of all the skaters ready to push their way into the cinema for a decent seat. problem 3 drunk and under age skaters are very impatient so when the doors reopened and we were aloud back in 300 skaters attempted to push their way through a door no wider than 1.5 metres almost trampling the woman who was pleading with everyone to stop and come in in an orderly fashion.
the cinema owners were fucking pissed.
but if the shortys vid is so crap i guess it was a good thing.

i dont believe so, i woulda heard a cheer if he came up but im pretty 80% sure he didnt have a part. i was also slightly intoxicated aswell. not so much that i got up on stage to use the mic. to tell everyone that "you're all a chat piece of cunt cunts, chat pieces of chat chat chat chat cunts...piece of chat" which was super funny.
afterwards i went and skated this bank next to a wall and a window a some dude smashed the window while doing a tre`. and the place smelled like wee wee

Expedition One: Alone - All right as videos go, and I can't say no to hearing the Batman Cartoon Theme Song, even in remixed form. I'm going to be honest, though, it really was all about Stefan Janoski's part for me. The other parts had their interesting parts, and I'm always glad to see Gallant, but Janoski kicks so much ass. Fair video all around.
